The Cork City Sports Athelte Of The month for February is Ciara Hickey of Blarney/Inniscarra AC. Ciara was pesented the award at a ceremony in  the River Lee Hotel

In February Ciara finished 2nd in the pole vault at the Senior Indoor Championships with a PB of 3.40m. The following week Ciara set a new championship best of 3.30m when she won the girls under 19 pole vault at the juvenile Munster Indoor Championships. Ciara is coached by Eamon Flannagan.
