Claire McCarthy (Leevale AC) receives the Cork City Sports Athlete of the Month Award for her outstanding performance in winning the Swansea Half Marathon in a personal best time of 1hr 14mins 35secs. Claire subsequently competed with distinction at the World Marathon championship in London finishing in 33rd position.
