PATRICK COLEMAN IS NOVEMBER WINNER OF THE CORK CITY SPORTS ATHLETICS AWARD. Seventeen year old Patrick Coleman of Togher Athletic Club is the November winner of the Cork City Sports Athletics award. Coleman was a convincing winner of the National Under 18 Cross Country Championship at Kilbeggan Racecourse on November 22nd and also led his club, Togher A.C, to team success in addition to leading Cork win the inter-county team title. The Douglas Community School fifth year student earlier in the year has represented Ireland Schools at both track and cross-country level. He won a bronze medal for Ireland in the steeplechase at the Home Countries Schools International last July and is one of the most promising young distance runners in the country at present.
