WORLD CHAMPION KIM COLLINS FOR CORK.
Kim Collins (St. Kitts & Nevis), former World 100m champion, is the latest addition to a top quality sprint lineup when the 49th.Cork City Sports takes place at the CIT Athletic Stadium, Bishopstown, on July 3.

The popular Collins has been perhaps the world's most consistant sprinter over the past decade following a stunning gold medal victory at the world championship in Paris seven years ago and still continues to be a major force in world athletics. With impressive best times of 9.98 for 100m and 20.20 for 200m and recent recordings of 10.24 and 20.59 Collins will ensure that Athenry's Paul Hession who has been practically unbeatable in Cork in recent years especially over the longer sprint, and 100m holder, Brendan Christian (Antigua & Barbuda) have a mammoth task ahead.

Other leading sprinters, Jared Connaughton (Canada), Adrian Griffith (Bahamas). Mark Findlay (GBR) will push hard to cause an uoset and home sprinters Chris Russell, Steven Colvert, Darrragh Graham, Dean Adams will surely benefit from running in this company
