Four time Olympian Aliann Pompey from Guyana who retired from competitive racing following the London Olympics is considering a 2014 comeback and this could mean the thirty five year old former Commonwealth 400m champion returning to Cork where she has an outstanding record having won the event in 2002, 2008 and 2009 and was runner-up in 2001 and 2007.
Aliann has a pb of 50.71 sec and would be an ideal one lapper to bring the best out of the promising young home 400m runners seeking international qualifying times.
