We are delighted to announce that the October recipient of the Cork City Sports Athlete of the Month is Ryan Creech from Leevale AC. Ryan’s exceptional performance at the Dublin Marathon on October 30th has rightfully earned him this prestigious recognition.

In a field boasting over 16,000 participants, Ryan secured a remarkable 7th place finish with a stellar time of 2:14:08. What makes this achievement even more commendable is that Ryan emerged as the second Irish athlete to cross the finish line. His outstanding performance at the Dublin Marathon also earned him the silver at the Irish Senior Men’s Marathon championship for 2023.

Ryan’s time of 2:14:08 not only reflects his exceptional skill and endurance but also positions him as a top-tier athlete in the competitive marathon running. This achievement is particularly noteworthy as it aligns closely with Ryan’s personal best of 2:13:03, a feat he accomplished at the Seville Marathon last February.
