    Rachel O’Shea received the May award for her outstanding performance in beating the highly fancied Amy O’Donoghue in the senior girls 800m at the Munster schools championships. Rachel later went on to repeat the performance at the Irish schools championships almost beating the record with a time of 2:10.9.
